Montana Days

Fun, misty days in Montana while visiting my Grandpapa Wright. Plenty of light too, in between all the clouds & such. And a bit of snow, which I like to watch through the door window.

Having a lot of fun with Grandpapa as he seems to know all the funny things to do to make me laugh. Mainly just scooting around, climbing, exploring, playing, and making this place my own little kingdom.

Mama-san & I go on a walk everyday rain or shine and it is just beautiful in the countryside. Usually I fall asleep within 5 minutes of riding along the bumpy gravel roads, but I have stayed awake a few times long enough to watch the horsies being fed the carrots we bring along.

Have had a couple of adventures into town, both Whitefish & Kalispell. I think I like Whitefish better because there is an old time train station with real, working trains.

Grandpapa's two kitties are pretty shy about me but they seem to be more curious about this other "wild animal" in the house. Still keep their distance, though.

I am now able to gnaw on whole, peeled apples & pears. And it feels so good on those pesky teeth which are still coming in. This usually keeps me busy for a long time, savoring the experience.

On the Move

Yes, I am on the move and loving it. A little turbo-crawler, as Mama-san says. And into everything; it is so exciting! I am also going through my "marmot" stage, pulling up onto my knees using tables, chairs, ottomans, anything I can get my hands on. I have taken steps with my nonna; 17 in a row, one time. I cannot wait until I can walk & run on two feet, it looks like so much fun.

I have a very big appetite these days and pretty much like everything. Not too sure about beet soup, but I may give it another try. I really like all the green vegetables out there as well as these little beef patties my nonna makes.

Right now, we are enjoying the fall weather in Calgary before things turn too cold. Now, if these bothersome teeth would just finish coming in, everything would be great.

Good-bye San Miguel, Hello Calgary

Mama-san, Papa-san, & I wrapped up our year in Mexico with a super-fun vacation on the Pacific coast. After a stop in Guadalajara for the night we continued on our bus ride through winding mountains to Mar de Jade, a holistic retreat center. I loved exploring this new environment, especially the beach with my friendly, furry friend. The sand was a bit gritty and I think Mama-san was still finding it in my ears and other folds long after we left for Canada. The waves were pretty cool too. I enjoyed being held under the arms and waiting for the mild waves to come and splash me. It took a few times before I understood what was happening and then I just laughed & laughed when I saw a wave coming in closer. I think Mama-san & Papa-san really enjoyed the food, kayaking, sunsets, as well as the yoga.

Our last stop before leaving Mexico was Puerto Vallarta. Luckily, we only had to spend one night in this noisy city before flying back up North. I met my Grandpa Wright along with other friends & family on the way to Canada. I look forward to seeing my grandpa again soon because he likes to play and be silly. Now we are all nestled into Calgary which is a bit chilly, but a nice place. I am really enjoying my nonno & nonna along with my aunty & uncles. The walks with Mama-san & Papa-san are very pretty with all the snow & ice. I cannot really say I like being stuffed into my snow suit,  but I am slowly getting used to it. At least it keeps me warm & cozy. Not sure where our next adventure will be, but for now, we are enjoying our new home.
